TECHNOLOGY THAT CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE

It Is Far Better To Prevent Illness & Disease, Than It Is To Treat It
An Ounce Of Prevention Is Worth A Pound Of Cure
Physical examination is the process by which a doctor investigates the  human body for signs of illness or disease. The exam may be for preventive purposes or in response to symptoms being experienced by the patient.  In either case, Dr. Oleg Gutnik and Dr. Irina Gutnik use preventive physical examination and state of the art diagnostic testing. This enables them to diagnose a patient's condition, determine risk factors and suggest a treatment plan.
SPECIFIC DIAGNOSTIC TESTING
Blood Testing for Early Detection
BLOOD CHEMISTRY ANALYSIS
A chemistry analysis is a blood test that measures the level of several substances, providing information about your general state of health. It can help  the doctor detect early signs of heart disease, diabetes, kidney dysfunction , liver disease and cancer. Just to name a few. A blood test can also determine whether treatment for a problem is effective.
Human Electrical Activity
ELECTROCARDIOGRAM
An electrocardiogram is a visible recording of the electrical activity that controls the pumping action of the heart. This test can detect abnormal heart beats, rhythm problems, decreased blood flow, heart damage, heart inflammation, and signs that a heart attack has or may occur.
Advanced Technology Provides Ultra-High Definition Images
COLOR DOPPLER ULTRASOUND
Ultrasound is a non-invasive test that produces a picture used to evaluate blood flow and pressure. It also helps the doctor to measure the speed and direction of the blood flow. Doppler Ultrasound is done to detect blood clots and blocked or narrowed blood vessels in almost any part of the body. It can determine the presence, amount and location of arterial plaque which can reduce blood flow to the brain, increasing the risk of a stroke or pulmonary embolism. Ultrasound waves can be used to image internal organs. Breast ultrasound can detect whether a lump is a malignant mass or a benign cyst.
BONE DENSITOMETRY
Bone loss is irreversible. Early diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis can identify those at risk of fractures and painful spine curvatures. Bone Density Scanning is today's established standard for measuring bone mineral density. The scan is strongly recommended if you are a post menopausal woman, have a history of fractures, are thin/small framed, have a sedentary life style, use alcohol or are a smoker. Bone loss may also effect men.
Endoscopy to Examine the Esophagus and Stomach
ENDOSCOPY
An Endoscopy is a procedure used to look at the interior lining of the esophagus. The procedure might be used to discover the reason for swallowing difficulties, nausea, vomiting, reflux or chest pain. A thin, flexible , lighted tube is inserted in the mouth and fed gently down the esophagus and into the stomach. The Endoscope transmits an image, so the physician can carefully examine these areas for abnormalities. This test is performed on-site by a specialist who consults with Dr. Oleg Gutnik and/or Dr. Irina Gutnik.
Colonoscopy to Examine the Large Intestine
COLONOSCOPY
A colonoscopy is a test that looks at the interior lining of the large intestine to detect ulcers, polyps, tumors and areas of inflammation or bleeding. It is most often used to look for early signs of cancer in the colon and rectum. A long, flexible lighted tube is inserted into the rectum and slowly guided into your colon. The colonoscope transmits an image on to a video screen so that the doctor can carefully examine the lining of the colon. The specialist is on-site and consults with Dr. Oleg Gutnik and/or Dr. Irina Gutnik.
DIETS - ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL
Metabolic Testing As Seen On Oprah
METABOLIC MEASUREMENT
Dr Irina Gutnik believes that as a Primary Care Physician, she is in the best position to help patients lose weight safely and effectively. Patient Diagnostics, because everyone has their own medical issues regardless of weight, coupled with a simple Metabolic Test, yields solid medical data enabling her to customize a weight loss plan for each individual patient.  The key to her weight loss plan is a simple 10 minute breath test. This technology, once reserved solely for hospitals and medical teaching universities, is now available in her office. Incorporating the web site http://www.FitDay.com , the patient can follow through with their diet, when it is convenient for them, outside of the doctor's office.
PRVENTIVE MEDICAL SCREENING

Screenings That Should Be A Part Of Your Exam

  • Blood Pressure Measurement. Often if risk factors are present.
  • Blood Screening for early detection of various diseases.
  • Bone Density Screening after age 60 or earlier if indicated.
  • Metabolic Rate Measurement to help control obesity.
  • Prostate and Colorectal Screening.
  • Clinical Breast Examination.
  • Cervical Cancer Screening.
  • Ovarian Cancer Screening.
  • Skin Cancer Screening.
These screenings are suggested as part of a yearly physical examination for a healthy individual. However, if your medical history indicates risk factors, additional testing and more frequent exams may be required.
